# Desktop App

> Install the Nikiwa desktop app for macOS.

Nikiwa is available as a native desktop app in addition to the web app at nikiwa.com.

## Installing on macOS

Click Download in the app's top bar to get the Apple Silicon build. Open the downloaded `.dmg` and drag Nikiwa into Applications.

  The current build targets Apple Silicon Macs. On an Intel Mac, use the web app at [nikiwa.com](https://nikiwa.com) instead.

The desktop app provides the same [chat experience](/product/chat), [modules](/product/modules), and [address book](/product/address-book) as the web app, in its own window.
